Intercessory Ministry
The purpose of the Church Greeters Ministry is to create a warm, welcoming, and loving atmosphere for all who enter the church. Greeters are often the first impression of the church and represent the heart of Christ to visitors, members, and guests alike.
This ministry seeks to:
-
Show hospitality as an expression of God’s love.
-
Foster a spirit of unity and belonging.
-
Help create a distraction-free and friendly environment for worship.
This applies to all members of the Church Greeters Ministry, and it governs their roles during:
-
Sunday services
-
Midweek gatherings
-
Special events, conferences, or services
-
Funerals and weddings, if applicable
Greeters are responsible for assisting with entryway hospitality, first-time guest follow-up, information dissemination, and light crowd flow management, in cooperation with the usher and hospitality teams.

Membership Ministry
The role of an usher at HHIM Church extends far beyond that of a doorkeeper. Our ushers embody the spirit of hospitality and excellence, serving as an extension of our Senior Pastor and ministry. They provide the very first impression of our church, greeting each member and guest with warmth, kindness, and respect. Ushers help create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and comfortable, ensuring that services flow smoothly and without distraction. Through their service, ushers have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of both newcomers and long-time members, supporting a worship experience that is reverent, inviting, and Spirit-led.
-
Teachable. Ushers should have the right spirit and heart so that it is easy to serve people and the church well. Every usher should be willing to be taught and learn ways to improve. Ushers who are ever-learning can greatly enhance the service.
-
Thoughtfulness. Ushers should be looking for ways to serve and help others. Opening doors, assisting visitors, being courteous, and looking for ways to help others, along with their other duties, can bring a positive reflection for the church.
-
Tactfulness. Ushers should present themselves in being able to communicate well and have a keen sense of knowing what to say, what to do, and where to direct others to maintain good relations and prevent distractions in the service.
-
Timeliness. Ushers should be on time and be timely in bringing assistance to others.  An effective usher does not wait to be asked or wait for others to help, but is keenly aware of what is going on in the church and allows the flow of the service to continue without distractions.
-
Teamwork. Ushers should work as a team, each one working together as a whole. Ushers should work uniformly in receiving offerings, communion, and bringing order to the service in as many ways as possible.
